Levada do Moinho & Nova
This is one of our favorite levada’s. It has waterfalls, tunnels and ocean views. As it’s not an official one: no booking needed!

What to Expect on the Trail
Actually this is a combination of two levada’s that you can walk circular. Expect great views and even a waterfall that you can pass behind. If you’re afraid of heights reconsider this one as you will pass big cliffs without fences.
Safety
Some fences are destroyed by landslides, so be careful.
Parking & Logistics
The levada start behind the church Igreja de Lomada. As it can get pretty crowded you can also park a bit more uphill. For this trail you don’t need to book a timeslot & ticket!
What to Pack for This Hike
