PR15 – Vereda de Janela
This trails starts from Fanal and descends to Ribera de Janela. This path was used in the past to carry products from the north to the south. Even barrels of wine where carried on the backs of the merchants on this trail!

What to Expect on the Trail
Expect a long descend from about 850 meters of altitude to 500. So many stairs! We started at the end, so we could decided when ascending when to turn around and return.
Safety
Paths are wide and safe. But stairs can get slippery in the rainy season so be careful.

We started at the end of the trail and parked on the street. At the beginning of trail there’s a small parking lot. Book your slot here.
